HISTORY:
During the time RISE’s Brooklyn neighborhood was transforming into the leader of the New York City Art Scene, street art began to pop up all over, transforming Bushwick from an industrial wasteland to an open art gallery inside and out of its warehouse spaces. As the Bushwick art scene was growing at a phenomenal pace, it was intensified by the whitewashing of the city’s foremost street art destination, 5 Points in Queens. This period served as a great launching pad for our art-inspired brand and led to our first artist collaboration.
